In Full Colour, Always

I am an independent art practice based in North Devon. I specialise in hand-carved lino prints, creative workshops, and custom lino prints, where I bring your vision or pet to life.
My art draws inspiration from the beautiful coastal locations I'm so lucky to live by, nature (I am a Taurus after all) and colourful, fun graphics!
My workshops are focused on creating accessible and meaningful creative experiences for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I request a custom lino commission?
If you'd like to request a custom lino print, you can get in touch through my Linktree contact form or by sending me an email at emma.in.colour@hotmail.com.
When you reach out, it really helps to include the following:
• A clear photo (or a few options if youre unsure)
• The size you're interested in (A5, A4, A3, A2)
• Any specific details or ideas youd like to include (colours, detail level, etc.)
From there, I'll talk you through what's possible and guide you through next steps.
Each commission is carefully designed and hand-carved, so I work with a limited number of slots at a time to make sure every piece gets the attention it deserves.
Check my Instagram bio to see what slots are currently available.
Turnaround times vary depending on size, but I'll always keep you updated throughout the process.
What materials do you use for your prints?
For printing, I work with a variety of professional block printing inks, choosing colours based on the tone and finish I want to achieve. From pastel tones to bold colours, I'm always experimenting, but I prefer a water-based consistency across the board because I think it gives the best finish.
I print on a mix of papers, including traditional rice paper, handmade paper with torn edges, and Japanese hosho paper. These are all selected for their ability to hold detail beautifully while giving each print its own unique texture and character, depending on the look I want it to have.
All of my lino blocks are carved by hand using Japanese hessian-backed lino, which allows for crisp lines while still holding that handmade tactile quality.
Do you offer workshops?
Yes, I do.
I run relaxed, inclusive art workshops designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of experience. My sessions focus on creating a calm, welcoming space where people can explore creativity without pressure, whether that's trying art for the first time or simply taking time to switch off and enjoy the process.
I work with a variety of groups, including community organisations, SEND settings, wellbeing spaces, and private bookings.
Because of this understanding, I also have flexible timings, including evenings and quieter sessions, to suit any desired need.
If you're interested in booking a workshop or collaborating, you can get in touch through my email at emma.in.colour@hotmail.com. I'd love to hear from you and see what we can do!
Where can I find your work in person?

Yes, I do.
I'm always open to working with a small number of carefully chosen stockists whose values align with my own work and approach. If you're interested in stocking emma.in.colour pieces, I'd love to hear from you!
You can get in touch at emma.in.colour@hotmail.com with a bit of information about your space, and I can share further details, pricing, and options.
I'm particularly drawn to spaces that support independent emerging artists. Being a small business is tricky at times, so people with understanding and compassion are a must.
